About Us

Vision:
Using unique events and private venues, Silicon Valley Executive Network (SVEN) provides a forum for thought leadership around emerging technologies, while concurrently enabling business development and relationships for senior high-tech executives, venture capitalists, and key technologists who make up the core DNA of the tech ecosystem.

What & Who We Are:

  • A private, invitation-only organization
  • We currently have about 200 executives in our group...and growing organically
  • Our member profile is the core DNA of the tech ecosystem:
    • CxO and VP level high tech corporate execs with extensive executive-level business & technology domain expertise from public & venture backed companies in core roles such as Engineering, Product Marketing, Sales, Business Development, etc.
    • Venture capitalists (IT, Healthcare/Bio, Cleantech)
    • Private investors (tech focused) & related tech PE
    • Key technologists
    • Successful tech focused serial entrepreneurs
    • Although most members are based in Northern California, you need not be based in Silicon Valley to join
  • Our members are also typically avid golfers who enjoy using premium golf for business networking and business development
  • We understand premium golf, have significant connections at the various private and resort venues, and the value of bringing premium golf and high level business and technology people together
Our Goals:
  • Enable the creation of new business relationships, and enhance existing ones by cross pollenating the core elements of the tech ecosystem through premium golf experiences and various exclusive corporate technology & business discussions
  • Enable information sharing of deep domain expertise among members around key areas of business and technology topics
  • Link opportunities within the core elements of the group (Tech execs, venture capitalists, entrepreneurs, and technology companies)
  • Be a "connector" and "accelerator" for our members and strategic partners
Our Events:
  • 14-16 events are on our "Executive Tour" for 2009, comprised of the following:
    1. Our most common events are single day golf outings at very premium/private golf location with 16-20 executives, including a 90 minute interactive business/technology discussion before or after golf, and ample time to socialize and network with peer level executives
    2. We do a small number of overnight golf trips to locations such as Pebble Beach and Cordevalle or multi-day golf trips to premium resort locations such as Bandon Dunes, Scottsdale, Lake Tahoe, and more
    3. We also have special non-golf events hosted by various technology firms such as Cisco, Oracle, Intel, HP, Adobe, and related entities...we are typically invited by senior executives of the hosting company for mutually beneficial behind-the-scenes interactive discussions on a variety of broad reaching themes.
    4. We hold an annual tech summit with a variety of discussions of relevance to the technology ecosystem
Our invited members pay only for the events they choose, and can participate in as few or as many as they desire.

Sincerely,

The Silicon Valley Executive Network

"Entrepreneurial and innovative businesses require executives to bring new and imaginative perspectives to a rapidly shifting marketplace.  The dialogs at SVEN events provide great context and stimulate new thinking, in a context where people can exchange points of view in a relaxing setting.  Oh, and the golf is pretty good too.  This latest event at the Preserve is a perfect example. We got great macroeconomic perspective from world-leading experts, exercised the topic thoroughly, and then played a magnificent course."
